Instead of spending the day after Thanksgiving in crowded stores spending money, we are staying home and making gifts. It's a great way to spend time together, save money, and give gifts that are really meaningful to us.

What a wonderful lesson for your children. I also abstained from shopping today...I need nothing more than a lovely day at home with my loved ones.
I agree. It was so nice to have a day together -- I taught my 10 year old to use the sewing machine. Very exciting!
